  • What kind of things do friends do and say?
  • How do these things make us feel?
Elicit responses as needed. Ask students for examples of phrases and words.

Now, ask students:

  • What about the things people do that hurt us?
  • How do these things make us feel? 
Elicit responses as needed. Ask students for examples of phrases and words.
Tell students that today they will learn about the impacts of the words and language we use to understand the impacts of bullying. 
  • Watch the video as a group.
  • Do not guide students through.
Now, instruct students to break into small groups to talk about their reflections on the video.
